Neuroworm and Machines of Escape
Study programmes Digital Arts and Architecture at AFAD Bratislava together with Architecture programme at UMPRUM Prague have jointly created a neuroworm and machines of escape from their students’ works.
The digital space in which we are immersed, which we shape, and the digital tools with which we do so, provide new perspectives in thinking about art and architecture. We raise questions about what is necessary in this situation and how it can be critically dealt with.

In the Bratislava Kunsthalle from June to August 2023 we exhibited student works of Digital Arts under the guidance of teachers András Cséfalvay, Zuzana Husárová and Matej Novotný, and under the curatorial direction of prof. Monika Mitášová.
The works use a wide range of digital technologies and various methods of creation, display and interaction: procedural geometry generation, gesture interaction, video games, virtual reality, 3D fabrication, visual programming, etc.
Thanks to a co-opening ceremony with two other exhibitions at the Kunsthalle, we managed to attract dozens of visitors to the opening. Hundreds more then saw the exhibition in the following 7 weeks of its duration.
The exhibition and the works from it are documented on the website neuroworm.art.
