EduPo
EduPo – Generating Czech poetry in an educative and multimedia environment is an international research project focused on artificial intelligence. Namely, large language models (LLMs) and their use in artistic and educational practice.
Project is implemented by Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague (UFAL) , together with Institute for Czech literature of Czech Academy of Sciences (UČL) and Digital arts platform at Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD). The project is funded by Technology Agency of the Czech Republic in years 2024-2026.

Project implementation
From February to May 2025, independent creation of (post)digital works using poetry created with the AI tool took place at AFAD as part of student projects, including active artistic research, and theoretical lectures by team members . Zuzana Husárová lectured on examples of digital artworks created using artificial intelligence and their theoretical background, while Matej Novotný presented on the use of creative programming for the creation of post-digital artworks. Team members Zuzana Husárová, András Cséfalvay, and Matej Novotný provided the artistic, theoretical, and practical background for the student projects and focused on the gradual acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence applications in art.
After the initial presentation of the topic on February 18, 2025, two checkpoints were held in subsequent months (March 18, 2025, and April 17, 2025), at which students presented the progress of their projects and their ideas for further work. Throughout the three months, discussions about the works in progress and suggestions for their improvement were held twice a week by members of the AFAD team.
The team members also organized a lecture by Jorg Piringera, a Viennese digital artist working with artificial intelligence, as well as a discussion on the ethics of artificial intelligence with Juraj Podroužka from KInIT, head of the Ethics and Human Values in Technology research group, and cognitive scientist Tomáš Gál, who focuses on artificial intelligence.
Participation in the project EduPo – Generating Czech Poetry in an Educational and Multimedia Environment was voluntary on the part of the students; seven students took part, with one exhibit being the individual work of a single student and two more complex exhibits being created by teams of three students. The presentation of the final projects took place on May 21, 2025.
Members of the UFAL, ÚČL, and Didaktikon teams were also present at the checkpoints. Representatives of UFAL and Didaktikon, who participated in the verbal evaluation of the physical works, also physically attended the presentation of the final projects. The final works were also presented and installed for the public during the AFAD Summer Inspection, which tested the resilience of the projects in terms of high visitor traffic, including children. This proved to be important for the subsequent incorporation of the works into the Didaktikon space.
