Winter inspection 2025
Inspection (or “prieskum” in Slovak) is a public exhibition of students’ works at the end of semester. All art studios at AFAD are open to public during a weekend and everybody is invited to “inspect” our studios and our students’ artworks.
In the winter semester of 2025, we gave students free rein in choosing their topics. After several thematically demanding semesters, they were given freedom in both media and subject matter. Some of works addressed a wide range of serious issues (digital addiction, overthinking, endometriosis, the conflict in Gaza, artificial intelligence); some were abstract and open to multiple interpretations; many were experimental and playful.
First-year students in the preparatory course created multimedia video projections in teams.
